The Kiepe Misalignment Safety Monitoring Sensor has an 80mm diameter, the sensor has an operating distance of up to 70mm adjustable by potentiometer. Kiepe Belt Misalignment Sensors SBW is used in bucket elevator applications to monitor tracking of elevator belts. The switches will engage if the belt exceeds optimum tracking. Misalignment of the buckets is detected as soon as a bucket deviates into the sensing zone of the proximity switch.
